Mbaliyesizwe Ngiba, an Umkhokha actress, musician, and former Real Housewives of Durban cast member, has apologized for yelling at a security officer.
A video of the Ngizwide singer has recently gone viral on social media. In the footage, the actress is seen yelling at the officer at the Hotel Skye in Sandton, Johannesburg.
“You think you are everything with your fckn R4,000 income. Ngiba shouts, “You are here because of us.”
“What do you believe you are? Security that does not pay well; you do not even have matric.”
On Tuesday, Ngiba apologized on Instagram, claiming she had a couple beers prior to the event. She said she doesn’t recall what happened, but her reaction was triggered by the security guard’s disrespectful treatment of her and her colleagues.
Ngiba said, “We were leaving the hotel and didn’t realize we required a code, and the individual that came with us had already left.
“When I asked the security guy to open for us, he was disrespectful to us.
“I think he said something to me and because I was drunk, I got angry and said things I should not have said.
“I am ashamed of the language that I used when I see that video.” She also said sorry to the security officer, her fans, and those who look up to her.
“I want to say sorry to the security officer, I hurt his feelings, and to those who know me. Know that I do not disrespect other people,” she said. “I let down my fans, I know that you were surprised by me because you had never seen that side of me.”
Ngiba stated that she knows why the video was created, as well as who directed someone to share it on social media.
“I was doing a show, but it wasn’t what I’d always wanted to do. I had to choose.
“I know who did it [recording and disseminating the video], but I won’t reveal their names.
“It is not a coincidence that one day a video of me is posted online, and the next day a new cast for that show is announced.
“It hurts that they are promoting their work with tricks.”
