Kelly Khumalo did not hire any hitman to kill Senzo

After the allegations made against singer Kelly Khumalo regarding her involvement in the killing of the former goalkeeper of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates, Senzo Meyiwa, the brother of the deceased accused the detective in charge of the case of being a liar and a fraud.

This comes after the detective Brigadier Bongani Gininda insisted that two of the defendants, Muzikawkhulewa Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi, accused Khumalo of ordering them to kill Meyiwa.

Gininda was testifying on Wednesday at the Gauteng high court in Pretoria during the trial and the truth of the allegations made by Sibiya and Ntanzi was confirmed.

Speaking in a special interview with eNCA, Sifiso Meyiwa denied the allegations accusing Gininda of making these accusations on his head to protect his interests.

“I will continue to say this until it is proven because we have evidence. I know Gininda, he is lying, this is how he works, many people do not know Brigadier Gininda. I know him, I followed his cases. You are lying, Kelly did not hire people to kill Senzo.

“I will keep saying this, the person who killed Senzo was in the house but this person is being protected,” said Sifiso, Senzo’s brother.

Although there is evidence linking Kelly and others accused of killing Senzo, Sifiso said he still does not believe she is involved, instead, he accuses Gininda of planting evidence and controlling the case the way he wants to get the results he wants.

“I know how Gininda works, that man is very dangerous and has tricks. Gininda can control by putting your mind at ease,” he said.

Sifiso told the reporter that he has worked at the police station for more than twenty (20) years and he is familiar with the way people who are paid to kill work, and the scene where Senzo died does not seem to be the work of someone who has been bought.

“There is no villain who uses another fake to kill the person he was hired to kill. I have seen cases where hitmen killed people. There is no evil person who enters the house and uses another fake to kill someone, especially when money is paid.

“Even if you look at the accused, they are bullies with previous crimes and if they go to a certain place, no one is left alive, and children are killed,” he said.

In addition, Sifiso accuses the government of having a relationship with Gininda and not trying to seek justice for the death of his brother.

At the court, one of the accused, Ntanzi, who was interrogated by his lawyer, said that Gininda promised him three million rands (R3 million) to produce evidence that would confirm the involvement of the right people in Senzo’s murder.

Gininda has denied making such a promise. However, Sifiso told eNCA that he believes Gininda has made this promise.

“There are many people who said they were bribed to agree to kill Senzo, one of them tried to plead guilty in front of the magistrate in Pietermaritzburg, which caused the magistrate to kick him outside the court. therefore, it is not a new thing to hear people admitting guilt, this is something that has been happening for a long time,” said Sifiso.

He said that although they do not believe that Kelly had anything to do with Senzo’s murder, they want her to tell the truth.

“Although Senzo was married, Kelly loved him and would never kill him,” he added.

He swore that as long as he lives, he will seek justice until the perpetrator is imprisoned.

Meyiwa was killed on the twenty-sixth (26) of October 2014 while visiting singer Kelly who was in love with her at her home in Vosloorus.

In the house that day were Kelly and her younger sister, Zandile, her mother, Ntombi Khumalo (MaKhumalo), Longwe Twala, Senzo’s friends; Mthokozisi Thwala and Tumelo Madlala; Kelly’s son who was four years old at the time, Christian, and Thingo, his girlfriend and Senzo.

Five men—Sibiya, Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Ziphozonke Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Nkani Ntuli—are on trial for killing Senzo.
