Memorial and funeral services of popular Isidingo actor Darlington Michaels was announced on Monday, 16 September.
The veteran actor died after a short illness at the age of 78 on Friday, 13 September.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela confirms Darlington Michaels’ memorial and funeral services.
Michaels’ memorial service will be held on Thursday, 19 September at Soweto Theatre in Jabulani at 12:00.
The actor’s funeral service will be on Saturday, 21 September at Uncle Tom’s Community Centre in Orlando West, Soweto.
His funeral service will begin at 9:00 and end at 11: 00. The actor will be buried at Westpark Cemetery.
DARLINGTON MICHAELS: HOSPITALISED
Darlington Michaels, real name Teboho Ndarana passed away last Friday after a short illness.
The Pimville, Soweto-born actor was recently admitted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, according to Zimoja.
A patient from the hospital revealed that the medical staff on duty had to assist the veteran actor with an oxygen since he was struggling to breathe.
“Everyone in the emergency reception recognised him. He has really aged. It was sad to watch,” says the source.
Michaels portrayed the gangster role of Georgie “Papa G” Zamdela in SABC3’s Isidingo since 1998, according to TVSA.
He also appeared in the sitcom Chandies and Netflix’s popular comedy drama, How to Ruin Christmas: The Funeral.
The fan-favourite actor also starred in The Road as Themba Mashinini Senior and SABC1’s drama series, Gazlam as Pipe Man and Vula Vala as Gab.
