Connie Ferguson commemorates Shona’s death two years ago.

On July 30, seasoned actress and producer Connie Ferguson took to Instagram to write a letter to her late husband, Shona Ferguson, as the day marked the second anniversary of his untimely death.

In 2021, Shona Ferguson died at Milpark Hospital due to Covid-19-related problems, BBC reported. The late Botswana-born actor-turned producer made a name for himself in South Africa alongside his wife, Connie Ferguson as actors and producers of hit local dramas including The Queen, Kings of Jo’burg, and more.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Connie wore her heart on her sleeve and wrote an open letter to her late husband.

“My LOVE.❤️ I can’t believe today marks the second anniversary of your transition! Time has become so strange to comprehend. You’re still so alive in my heart and in my mind and in the memories we shared. I still feel your presence so much, but the thought of never seeing you in your physical form again overwhelms me from time to time. But the Lord has cuddled me and our beautiful family in his arms, and we continue to move, to hope, to dream.🙏🏾,” the letter read.

Connie Ferguson met her late husband, Shona Ferguson, in July 2001 and was married to him by November, according to Kaya FM. The following year, they were said to have welcomed their first child, Alicia, who is well-known for her dancing on social media.

Connie updated Shona on how life has been since his death in her letter. She told him that even though he was gone, his presence was felt. And she explained that even though he is no longer with her, she finds peace in having spent 20 years with him.

“We still do a lot of the things we did together, travel with the fam, eat your favorite food, play your favorite music, dance, and laugh! Yes, we laugh a lot!😂 And every time we do we can literally hear the echo of your laughter in the midst of ours!😇 You are just an unforgettable man!😍 Truly one of a kind. God loved me so much he gave me you, and although it seems like it was only for 20 years, it was for eternity, because a love like ours never dies. I LOVE YOU FOREVER ❤️,” she said in the letter.
