Celebrity sangoma Gogo Maweni is intensifying efforts to hold actor SK Khoza accountable for child maintenance, reigniting public debate on parental responsibility. Following the circulation of a photo allegedly depicting Khoza’s child, skepticism has emerged regarding its authenticity, with some individuals questioning the child’s lighter complexion and calling for a DNA test to confirm paternity.

Despite such speculation, Gogo Maweni remains firm in her demand for financial support. Over the years, she has publicly voiced her frustration with Khoza’s alleged failure to fulfill his parental obligations. With Khoza now employed, she insists that he must step up and contribute financially towards the child’s well-being.

Speaking to ZiMoja, Gogo Maweni explained that she had previously been understanding of Khoza’s financial difficulties when he was unemployed. However, given his current professional status, she believes there is no longer an excuse for him to evade his responsibilities. She asserts that the burden of childcare should not rest solely on her shoulders, despite her own financial stability.

“I have the means to support my lifestyle, including three houses, cars, and herbal stores, all acquired with cash. Nevertheless, that does not absolve him of his responsibility. He now has a job and must contribute,” Gogo Maweni stated in her interview with ZiMoja.

Determined to take action, Gogo Maweni has revealed her plans to engage legal representatives and pursue legal channels to ensure Khoza complies with his duties. She emphasized that she has no intentions of resorting to muthi (traditional African medicine) to influence Khoza’s decisions but will instead let the legal system take its course.

“I no longer need to stand in line at the maintenance court. I can afford my own lawyer, and I will deal with this matter legally. There’s no need for muthi; the law should take its course to ensure that he fulfills his parental responsibilities,” she asserted.

This is not the first time Gogo Maweni has taken legal action against a former partner. She candidly admitted to previously using muthi on ex-Mamelodi Sundowns soccer player Siyabonga Zulu after taking him to court for child maintenance. While her approach towards Khoza is strictly legal this time, her history of alternative methods has added another layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama.
